Hate to break it to you, but at 17 and 18, we cant help but be so-o-o in love, so-o-o easily.
You have alot of life experiences to have the next 4 years.
Its not that people dont favor them, they just know they dont work.
Long distance relationships really dont work. There will be issues with trust, jealousy, etc.
You might want to slow your emotions and hormones down a little, say goodbye, but stay in touch...
More than likely you will be surrounded by new people and experiences that you will decide you want to try out and it wont include the guy you are in love with now.
Its easy to lose interest in someone when they are never around to grow a true attachment to.

if you really love each other, you will do everything to be together no matter if society frowns on long distance relationships...who cares what other people think, right?....the demands of school work will not make seeing each other easier...being far would also make it difficult but not impossible...all you need is scheduling and compromise...just work out a schedule to see each other at least once a week...if not try to talk to each other even just for a few minutes...it all depends on the both of you...and not what other people would say about it...good luck

hallu...
if you think you are so perfect for each other, why worry about other people thinks? i dont think distance could keep you apart if you have frequent communication..
feeling lonely about your relationship is just normal, it happens., there will also come a time that you may think you dont love him anymore, but you do.. it's pretty normal...
if you both plan to get married after college, then go for it., keep your communication., dont lose it. and have to time to visit each other, every sem break or special occasions., find ways to be together and you'll surely get through it all.
