Someone (or something) posted a question saying "Fellow atheists! has christianity been sufficiently marginalized yet in your view?" This was after, along with other atheists, posting a string of horrible answers on other people's questions. Does this enlighten you about atheism?

it tells me absolutely nothing about whether there is a difference between atheism and satanism.

(there clearly is a difference - atheists don;t believe in god(s), satanists must believe in a god for them to believe in satan. stands to reason.)

The question doesn't really say anything about differences between the two. It does, however, point out something they have in common.
In all groups of people there are both mature and immature individuals. No one goes into a group knowing all there is to know of it. A growth process takes place. The vast majority of posters in this forum are immature, either physically or emotionally or from the standpoint of indoctrination. Mature members tend to take a more respectable approach to debate and discussion than the immature, who out of inability to express a deep understanding of their position speak in a disruptive way. It is a defense mechanism that is usually accompanied by poorly constrained zeal.
Atheism and Satanism both have a low tolerance for the message Christians deliver. That message threatens their sense of self worth and authority. It is most threatening to the immature.
The original temptation was "become a god". Neither a Satanist nor an Atheist wants to be counted as less than He.

Err, Satanists believe in at least one supernatural being. Atheists don't. That's the whole point of atheism.

Some Satanists say horrible things, and so do some Christians and some atheists.

I'm sure if Satanists tried to impose their religious worldview on everyone else then Christians and atheists would probably join up to marginalise them too.

Questions being asked of Atheists have been more than "sufficiently marginalized".

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, no factual evidence or real basis to make a plausible conclusion, hey what makes The Middle East and Russians so different, they both hate Americans.

Again, horrible (if that is even true) does not imply false. Christianity (like all other Abrahamic traditions) deserves neither respect nor time. All of these delusions need to go if we are to make progress as a collective.
