Hi there. The music you choose for your beach wedding is an important part of your day and will instantly create the mood. You do not say where you will marry, but the best "live" music for beach weddings are steel drums, a solo harp, a solo sax, acoustic guitar or if you are in Africa, a marimba band. All beautiful and appropriate for different types of wedding themes. You may want to check out this link: http://www.beachwedding-guide.com/beach-wedding-music.html

By far the best music for a beach wedding is steel drum carribbean style music. It is loud enough to be heard and just goes so well with the beach atmosphere.

Another unique but beautiful option is to have an acoustic guitar play solo but hooked up to a nice amp system so that he can be heard. It is simple and beautiful. It also goes well with the sound of the sea!

Problem A: A string quartet may refuse to play on a beach because of how precious their instruments are. That being said, if you are having a small ceremony, I think if you have some powerful (forte) songs being played it will be perfectly complemented by the waves crashing in the background!!!

Jack Johnson and Israel Kamakawiw...both excellent.\
Johnson's banana pancakes song is great..don't do the beach boys....
it is a good idea to stay away from anything except a guitar on the beach...the weather is so weird
if it is small then everyone can here the guitar or maybe a few guitars..ohhh that would be nice.

The music you like is the best. Personally, out in nature like that I'd want something that complemented the natural sounds rather than competed with them.
