She is very young and is not grown up yet, so it's pretty reasonable to expect that she will grow up and change. She may always be close to her stepmom, but most young women who are close to a mother still grow up and become more independent. Why do you need help? This is not a problem. Living at home when you are still going to school and only age 20 is perfectly reasonable and normal.

its definately not a big deal that she still lives at home...many college students cant afford to live on their own yet! why pay for something when parents are willing to help. Her being close to her mom isnt a bad thing either. Its easy to stay close with a mom because they have been through everything we're going through now. They are easy to talk to and love you no matter what! When she moves out they wont see each other as much but their relationship probably wont suffer. They will probably still talk on the phone.

i mean most females are close to there moms because we understand each other! when she moves out on her own shes still going to be close that doesn't stop there relationship! its a good thing shes a friend to her mom like that because most people cant get along with there parents! she probably so worried about her mom because if something happens to her she that's the only thing she has and she would go nuts! sometimes a mom could be just like a best friend too! your just going to have to get use to it because shes going to tell her everything its just a relationship you grow into as you get older and by your mother being there for you so much!

I am very close to my mom. I am 23 and she is 43. We share clothes, make-up, stories and have so much fun together! The bond we have is very important and if a guy I was dating didn't love my mom or our relationship, he would have to hit the road! You should be proud that your girlfriend has a mature relationship with her mom especially at her age when most girls just want to fight, argue and throw tantrums! I applaude your girl and you should too!:)

What is wrong with her being close with her Mom?
I was very close with my Mom and when she got sick I was worried as well.
She passed away and I miss her big time!
Why are you so concerned about a mother and daughter being close?
Sounds pretty normal to me:)

There is nothing wrong with that bond. I don't see what the promblem is here. She just doesnt want to loose her mom or anything to happen to her.
