If they're just playing, and the cat isn't fighting at the dog(making growling or hissing noises), I'd say they're fine to play together. I have 2 cats and a chihuahua, and they love to play together - they play chase around the dining room table. It's the funniest thing!! Good luck with your "children". :)

She's a puppy, she will play with a leaf or a computer if it rather is available. it is known puppy habit. probable the worst ingredient you're able to do is lock her away for the reason which you're punishing her for being youthful and stupid. this is like punishing a baby for being immature or punishing a kitten for chasing bugs. the final ingredient for her may well be somewhat some outdoors playtime/exercising (no longer on my own) and somewhat some interest. A drained puppy is a properly behaved puppy. next time she is being irrelevant with the cats purely eliminate her from the area, firmly tell her no and distract her with a squeaky toy or foodstuff so she forgets the cats. she will at last get the belief, mature and alter right into a properly adjusted canines like all different canines interior the homestead. playstation i'm exceptionally specific you're aggravating for no reason to boot. Cats are hard and might guard a clumsey little puppy. they are going to placed her in her place-unquestionably i may well be greater involved by them hurting her.

If they are to live in the same house and you want to remain sane, yes. Let the puppy play with the cat. They will become friends. The cat will always be the boss though. Big as the dog may get, the lessons it learns as a pup from 4 paws full of razor blades when it's young will teach it to respect other animals. Unless you are raising a hunting dog. Then you need to keep them apart at all times. The dog could develop fear of other animals and not be willing to chase.

I would definitely let them keep playing. We have a five month old puppy (English Toy Spaniel crossed with a Cocker Spaniel) who loves to play with our big orange cat. They both chase each other around the house and have a blast. When the puppy gets too annoying for the cat, he lets her know by reprimanding her with a little bite just like her mother would do. Neither of them hurt each other and just recently our Himalayan cat has started playing with the puppy. It's great to watch and good exercise for everybody.

This is the wonderful part of having both dog and cat. They love to play. Your puppy wants some action, the cat may just like to observe him. Later they will maybe nuzzle each other in passing. That's what my pets do. They get along like humans in that they get used to what to expect from each other and go with it. Puppy may exhibit jealousy when you give your cat attention, but that is natural. They both want your attention. They are wonderful companions for you and each other. Enjoy them all you can!

Don't stop them playing together if they're both having fun (= if the cat is up for it!) It means they're becoming good buddies and will stay that way. Your puppy will have more respect for cats when he gets older if you let them play. There is nothing wrong with cats and dogs playing together.

I have owned dogs for over 50 years. Absolutely let him play with the cat. They can become great pals and keep each other company. And if they "play" all the better. They can even sleep together if they want to.

You know you are lucky. If your cat wants play with your puppy than everything is okay.Your cat is extremely kind.My cat hates 4-feet animals. For puppy its normal to play with dogs or cats.He just thinks that your cat is his brother or sister.Thats all.

If the cat is behaving fine and is playing back it is an excelant thing, you want your cat and dog to get along. They can get very close. Just make sure they both are enjoying the play!

Don't stop them from playing. These two are going to share a home, hopefully for many years. Our zany Siamese and gentle German Shepherd were friendly enemies all their lives, with the cat tormenting the dog every chance she got, but always in fun. No harm was done, and they died of natural causes just six weeks apart. They made our home special and will be forever missed. Please let your two enjoy one another, and you can enjoy them in turn. Happiness!
