Yes, I did it before and I felt just like you described it. Thank you for reminded me of my first love and it happened to me 28 years ago.

Nope, that's just part of growing up! I thought I was going to die after my 1st fiancee and my 2nd fiancee broke up. Now I see that is for the better. It's just what the heart goes thru, kinda like a comfort zone, then you are put into stress when that comfort zone is changed up..
Take Care

Well, I haven't gotten to the laughing part yet, but no I do not feel stupid, I feel empowered to know I don't have to have that experience again. Being in a relationship with a sociopath can really hurt.

No way. Because at those moments, that is how I felt. Just because I don't feel that way any more doesn't mean that it wasn't true. I think you can laugh about how silly you were tho to think that you would jump off a cliff for someone!

I don't laugh about it, but I do feel stupid and completely embarrassed, and don't want to think about the person anymore for fear of remembering what a big idiot I made out of myself over them.

well, It's not something to laugh about. All I can do is chop it off as being young and niave. and then I feel really stupid.
Stupid for ever waisting my time and love on a butthead.

actually feel disappointed coz i liked the feeling of attachment and longing i felt...but i guess it depends on the person. If you still respect him/her or like them as a friend, ya dont feel like a loser for wanting to die for them

did I feel stupid. ? no, did I have regrets yes, but it wasn't meant to be and I learned what I didn't want in a relationship. I was way ahead of where I had been ,

Maybe there is a lesson in this for you, you don't make the same mistake with the next relationship.
