I think this act might lead a couple people faithful again. But... alot of people suggest it's fake. And even if it is, shouldn't we learn a thing or two from this?

PS I'm not religious. :)

I think that this case really affects insurance companies and policy holders. If God can respond to an injunction then it should be possible to figure out what acts are performed by Him. Should an insurance company be allowed to with hold disbursement of aid when it hasn't even taken the proper actions to decide whether God was responsible or not? Should a court of law be the body that determines when an Act of God occurs?

What if you went to an insurance agent with a claim because someone drove a car into your house and they told you that it was an Act of God because the person could have just as easily driven into the ditch doing no harm to your house at all. You will need to seek compensation from the party liable for the accident, God.

The problem I see with this lawsuit is if it is taken seriously, what are the implications of God as a legal entity outside the law that can be legally held accountable. Can you imagine if the judgement in a case was, Pray? I have my own conception of God but I don't use Him as a scapegoat.... Not often at least.

Very interesting. Hehehe.
He would lose the case.
Lets see what God might say, The KJV is the word for word translation of the original scriptures. It is a contractual agreement that was made between God and the people. Since it is a binding contractual agreement, then that makes the bible a law. Which is why a verse says, You will live according to this law. Which is talking about the bible.
Since the bible is the law that was agreed upon between God and men, and that man's lawsuit is based on how people are treated and live according to what's written in the law, then God isn't at fault. For the people are living and suffering according to what they had agreed to.
The KJV is the true bible, it was actually translated from the original tongues. It is a contract. That's why a verse says, you are not to add to or take away from this book.
Once the final arrangements of an agreement had been finalyzed, neither party is to take away from or add to the contractual agreement.
The bible says the mediator will walk the earth in the last days.
A mediator is the man between two parties who helps to resolve any disputes between the two parties.
God will send a mediator to the earth in the last days. The mediator will not be God himself, but the mediator will be a man. He will be a man between God and the people.
Why would there be a mediator between God and the people? What does a mediator do?
Since the bible says God will send a mediator to the earth in the last days, then maybe the appearance of that letter is no coincidence.
Maybe something is about to happen, Maybe that letter is a warning to the people on the earth.
Mysterious.

I think it violates Separation of Church and State. A US official suing God? Imagine if the official tried suing Allah. They blow stuff up for just making a cartoon of Mohammad, imagine what they would do if you called God himself sadistic, etc etc etc.The point is that the best way to ensure tranquility is by respecting religious conscience and not mocking God or religion. This politician "just to make a point" on frivolous lawsuits has become a mocker and I think is a disgrace.

The person who filed the lawsuit against God is crazy man yet he is an elected official of one government.

Good story. You'd have to be an idiot to become religious over that, though. Learn what? That Christians and non-believers are equally idiotic when it comes to trying to prove their point?

Of course it's fake. And we really need one more idiotic suit clogging up the courts.

I think that as a legal action it has no merit. As a means of protest, it does attract some attention.

I would be worried to be him.

thats pretty pompous, to think you are more righteous and know to do things better than your Maker. He DOES assume there is a maker because he calls his Maker to account..... if you want to know what self righteous arrogance is THAT is a primo example!!!!!!!!

I thought justice is blind for equality, not blind for stupidity.

Luke 11:52 - Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
