My doc gave me some and i feel like i am a diff person. i lost my temper and bite peoples head off. i am being real mean and i hate it. is this normal on this kind of meds? thanks!

Yes. Prednisone has some psychiatric side effects. It is a great drug for what it is supposed to do, but it has some extremely unpleasant side effects. It is all a balancing act, the risks versus the benefits of this drug...but if you need it, you need it.
You may have elevated blood sugar, mood swings, hyper or euphoric episodes, weight gain, puffy face, and problems if you use it long term with the adrenal cortex and the bones.
Short term it is safe, but annoying. Long term, prepare for several side effects.

DELTASONE Tablets contain prednisone which is a glucocorticoid. In IM or IV form it's labelled as Decadron or Solumedrol. or Solucortef. There are many indications for prednisone. One of them is for allergic reaction.
One of the mentioned precautions in taking prednisone is:
Psychic derangements may appear when corticosteroids are used, ranging from euphoria, insomnia, mood swings, personality changes, and severe depression, to frank psychotic manifestations. Also, existing emotional instability or psychotic tendencies may be aggravated by corticosteroids. Othe side effects are moon face or facial swelling and weight gain, unusual growth of body hairs; etc. . .

This is normal along with an appetite increase, weight gain, and feeling more energetic than usual.

Yes, it's the norm w/steroids.
it also makes ya bloated after a while, & have hunger likeyou didnt have before.
