Is there a difference between the stores Brand packaged chicken meat and the Name brand such as Prime Grain-fed Chicken meat?

i sometimes go for unbranded chicken as long as it is fresh and in good condition.

the difference is the company that packages it....
look more for the type you want like if you want it all natural, thin sliced, grain fed, etc.... also, make sure it looks to be in good condition. you can buy generic or brand name chicken and both could be "bad".. it more depends on how fresh and well kept the store's meat is

If I don't buy the Name Brand I make sure that, whatever I'm buying, isn't from the opposite side of the US. I want to make sure that it hasn't been in a refrigerated truck for a week before I bought it. Otherwise, it could be nasty when you open it and who knows what it's been thru to get to your stores shelf. I make sure it's from somewhere near my community....like Boise Idaho...since I live in Twin Falls..only 2 hours away.....

No-chicken is chicken. There is a difference in free range, organic and cruelty free chicken-in that the birds live more naturally and are not fed hormones and antibiotics.

I take both and avoid refreeze my chicken, so I cook my food right away.

i've tried both...
personally i like how the name brand cook and taste.
