he is cute, I have a black & white cat too, he's long hair though I found out through research mine part bob cat part Ragdoll. Domestic Short hair is just a general term for a mixed breed, it sounds to me like you're wanting more information then just that. Try starting out at this web site.

He's a Domestic Short hair. Most cats are so mixed up with other breeds you'll never know, and Domestic Short Hair is a good generic term.

By looking at the pictures I think you have a common Domestic Short Hair. They are the most common breed of cat so most likely that is the breed. They are also one of the most hardy. I hope this helps.

Gorgeous kitty! I just love splotchy markings on cat faces!

You're kitty is a non-pedigreed bi-color domestic shorthair - the cat equivalent of a mutt. That isn't a bad thing - most cats are.

Here's more on the colouring. And look at the pic on this link - your kitty looks a LOT like President Clinton's daughter's cat! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicolor_cat

DSH (domestic short hair) like everyone else has said. The majority of cats found in shelters are DSH or DMH or DLH (medium hair, long hair). The are basically a cat "mutt". Tuxedo is just a color not a breed. Same goes for calico, tortoiseshell (torti), tabby, etc....they are just colors not breeds.

Very cute guy you have there! He looks like a tuxedo with the black and white, but I would say that the chances are that he is what they call a DSH or domestic short hair. Cat term for mutt! But, loveable all the same.
