I don't know if this would help you or not but I was thinking of the nursing homes where people are alone without people coming to visit them....they are so sad many of them. I was thinking how the pre med students could go there and talk to these great people and study them...take notes on their behavior. ...this way when the students go into their specialty they would have some idea what to expect with their hands on experience at the homes.
The elderly enjoy having people listen to their life's experiences it just takes a little time to give them a great boost and you in turn learn from them also.
Another idea is to go to nursery schools and visit the little children and look them over to see if they need medical attention which could be relayed to the health dept. in the city so hopefully if the children need something it might be available to them.
Just a couple thoughts...
Best wishes in whatever you decide to do I know it will be appreciated.

Yes, doctors spend alot of time with patients checking and dealing with high blood pressure. If your pre-med students went to a "Soup Line" or a "Food Bank" and set up a little table and a couple of chairs and conducted a "Blood Pressure Screening Service" you would be most appreciated by the doctors in the areas you work.
