I am guessing that it was a parvovirus test that came back negative, and that is good. It is good too that she is in the hospital where they can give her fluid and nutrients by IV. These symptoms could be a severe pancreatitis, which is a gastrointestinal infection, but it sounds worse than that. Have they done any x-rays to see if she has an obstruction, like maybe a foreign object stuck somewhere? Or could she have gotten into any type of poison? I hope they get her diagnosed and fixed up soon. Best wishes.

How old is she and has she been vaccinated at all?

Dogs can have parvo with a negative test! The parvo virus is shed only for a few days and if testing is not done within those few days the test will be negative but the dog will have the disease. More often than not we catch it at the right time and the test is positive, but it is possible to have a negative test but dog has disease. This has to do with how long a dog sheds the parvo virus in its stool. Many pups that have been sick for several days before being tested will test negative, although many times if they've been sick for several days before being taken to a vet, they usually don't make it.

If not parvo, then what? Parasites, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, etc.

Sounds like your dog is in the right place right now, regardless of what it is.

Hope she gets better soon.

It sure sounds like parvo, but since you do have her at the vets they should be able to help her, but to be honest parvo if not caught early enough is fatal, and you say she hasn't eaten in the last few days, well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but what she is doing is usually the last stages, sorry, I hope I'm wrong.

My Cavalier had this problem about 6 months ago. He was bleeding profusely from his rectum. But he wasn't vomiting. The vet put him on an IV. Kept him over night. Did a bunch of tests and he was diagnosed with intestinal parasites.

If your dog is very young, it could be a parvovirus infection. It often smells extremely bad and the puppies vomit and have very bloody diarrhea. They also look very sick. It is a very serious infection to get and can be fatal. It is good that you got her to a vets office. Another possibility is that she ate something toxic, so try to remember if she got into anything suspicious or was outside without supervision that she may have eaten something without your knowledge. Good luck with your dog, I hope she gets better soon!

If you have received a negative Parvo test then it sounds to me like your dog may have been poisoned. Warfarin (rat poison) causes the animal to bleed from body orifices- it also causes great thirst which drives them out looking for water. In severe poisoning cases they will vomit.

I feel awful for you- I hope your dog pulls through. : (

Parvovirus is a possibility. That is probably what they tested her for. There are other conditions that can cause those kind of symptoms. It sounds like there is some major upset going on in the gastrointestinal tract.

Do you feed your dog from the table? If so your dog could have pancreatic problem. This is tratable thought but makes the dog very sick.
