I fear my neighbors know me as 'the crazy crow lady'. I have much crow decor, and I feed the local crows. Yes, some people feed finches (i do too) but I feed the crows. On holidays I go as far as to prepare them a meal, Thanksgiving being turkeyneck and innerds, christmas it's ham fat, etc. I usually feed a mixture of dog food, corn and peanuts. They adore it, and they are fascinating to watch. I've even had them come to my back porch and eat from a plate before.
Does anyone else here feed corvids?
If so, what do you feed, and have you noticed that they 'recognize' you (and your vehicle!) after time??

I love crows & ravens too! They come to our feeders, and although they'll eat the bird food they prefer the cat food that I leave out for neighborhood strays. Of course they're welcome to it.
The ravens do seem to know that I'm a food-bringer-- often when I go into our back yard, if there's a raven on the roof, he (or she) will announce my presence & there will be a couple of them @ the food soon after I return to the house.
A few years ago, I was @ a bus stop near a vacant lot & there were 2 ravens hopping around looking for food. One of them kept eyeing me & actually came pretty close. I happened to have a granola bar with me so I broke it into pieces & tossed sat there feeding them until the bar was gone-- it was so cool!
