Assuming they celebrate Christmas, you could get them an ornament with their names on it and have it say Our First Christmas 2007. They'll think of you every year!

Speak with them and find out the colours that they are going to have in their home, that way you could make them something that would co-ordinate with it. You could also ask their parents what they like and get suggestions from them about some hand made gift that you could make them. This would certainly seem much more personal than a store bought gift as it was make by you with them in mind. Best of luck and have fun at the wedding.

Are you very close? Could you put together some kind of picture collage of the both of them ... younger years to now? A couple things you can BUY that aren't too expensive if you go to the right stores are door knockers with their last name engraved on it or picture frames with engraved names and date of their wedding. Could spend as little as $20 and it is a very memorable gift.

I think a nice frame for their wedding picture would be a great gift. Things remembered has some that you can get engraved too.

Hmm, how about a scrapbook of the 2 of them together? Or if you could be sneaky, get some childhood pictures of both he and his new wife, and make a collage of their lives leading up to the big day when they unite. It could be fairly cheap, but time consuming. Very meaningful though.

They may have a wedding registry? You could check from the list they indicated. I bet not everything there will be that expensive. Think of something personalize too.

just give them a gift card to bed bath & beyond...better to do that than to give a duplicate gift...$35 max if on budget.
