Haha. I make my own coffee. Not everyone drinks at Starbucks.
But I'm pretty sure a lot of people would have quite a bit more money, those drinks are too expensive.

I'd be going to the coffee shop I used to go to before Starbucks existed. Which is what I do anyway. Starbucks didn't invent cafes, they just made them popular, especially with young people. Coffee used to be a drink for older people, men, and people waiting in hospitals or otherwise having to stay up all night. Now it's practically a fashion statement.
I definitely think coffee would be less popular if Starbucks never existed. And I think the prices would be more reasonable if they hadn't ever existed, as well.
And people would know what a good drink was, too. Starbucks has a tendency to taste of burnt dirt.

Coffee has been around way longer than Starbucks. Starbucks just made it trendy, but there were a lot of people who drank coffee before that. I personally prefer to brew my own, since it is less expensive that way.
The real question is whether the next generation will drink coffee. Or are energy drinks the coffee for the next generation?

Coffee would not be as large of an industry in the world as it is today and people would defiantly be a little more financially secure. :-)
All in all, I make coffee at home and also buy it from starbucks and other of the many fine coffee stands here in the great state of Washington! :-)
Seattle Coffee, Tullys, Starbucks. Are just a few of the coffee companies here.

i think that starbucks started the corporate coffee shop revolution. lots more people are drinking coffee now because of them. (my wife and i are 2 of them)
i probably would brew my own about as much as i do now, but i still enjoy a little escape to the coffee shop now and then. also, nobody can make a java chip frappuccinno like starbucks can. nobody.

if starbucks did not exist,
1) people would not have to bleach their coffee stained teeth. Dentists would loose money.
2) there would be much less road rage from soccer moms racing to get their daily "fix"
3) recovering Alcoholics would have to find another substitute "addiction"
4) the people who started starbucks would not be zillionaires.
5) there would be ALOT more available real estate for other businesses.

I know Starbucks is a rip off, but I like to buy starbucks just to hold that cup around because it makes me feel cool to drink 4 dollar coffees.

I would drink cold and fresh juice, or maybe hot chocolate before starting my day. I would go to other brands such as Peet's-- but I make my own coffee in the morning, rather than going to a coffee shop.

I think if people wanted to drink coffee that they would go anywhere to get it or make it at home. I would miss the fraps from there though. They do give me that kick when i need it!
