Real Christians follow in the footsteps of Christ. But I do not know enough about the Branch Davidians (even though they could not have known if they were related to David) to make a judgment call.

Haha they were related to David.
Look up David Koresh.
I don't see why they shouldn't be classed as christians just like any other christian just because some sick pervert took advantage of them. Although I do think those that have carried on his "work" either have a lot of courage or must be trying to get away with something naughty.

He changed his name to Koresh out of some messianic fantasy of His. He would quote Scripture speaking of Jesus and say it was really about himself. You can be wacky and not deserve to be overun by the ATF, but you can't be that far out in left field and still be Christian. Christians follow Christ, they don't become Him and then start sleeping with everyone.

No he was not a Christian He claimed that he was god. Well the only thing he was was a Wacko in Waco. Sadly many people believed him and as a result they died in sin.

Nothing that I know of. You can use that to extrapolate my thoughts on George H.W. Bush's and Bill Clinton's involvement in that fiasco.

They worshiped Koresh and he let them. They were looking to him instead of looking to God.
