No, he won big time. He had a wonderful life, a loving family and went out while doing what he loved.

If we are talking about Dale Earnhardt Sr...NO he did NOT loose his momentum...he is the greatest driver of all time. And as for his career ending...he was finished 2nd in points the year before he died and he was in 3rd place on the last turn of the last lap of the biggest rave of the year...sounds like we was still on top of his game to me

If we are talking about Dale Earnhardt Jr...NO he did not loose his momentum...he hasn't reallu had momentum this year with all of his engine failures. But he is is still doing an awesome job behind the wheel of that Red #8! As for next year...look out! He will be fantastic!!!

I can't give a better answer than Beth's, but I will add that Earnhardt didn't lose momentum--he never stopped trying to be the best. It's just that the other drivers gained more momentum in order to be more competitive.

WOW there are some real assholes on here...Dale Earnhardt was one of the best to ever put on a helmet, as for momentum, he never stopped trying...his legacy will live on forvever YEA #3!!!!!!
