Looking for a hotel to stay in New York (preferably Manhattan). I found a decent one, just west of Chinatown, but it says that it is in the Tribeca area. Is this separate from Manhattan? or is it a part of Manhattan?

Tribeca is a hot area in Manhattan famous for many loft apartments and many celebrities live there and J.F.K Junior lived there as well...
Tribeca means: Triangle below Canal so it is very close to Canal Street where Chinatown starts. However some people call some areas in Chinatown part of Tribeca because the closeness.
