I read in a post recently that Christianity is on the way "out", along with the other monotheistic faiths. It was also indicated that we are finally on our way to a society in which we can all agree that there is more than one truth about faith.

As a Pagan, I believe that this is indeed an attitude that is desperately needed in our society. Too much hate, death and war has been perpetrated all in the man of "God". I think it is a thought pattern that can be completely healthy and inspirational in a society where our biggest problem between us seems to be based around religion.

Do you agree that this is our future, and do you believe it will be helpful or more detrimental than the patterns we are already in?

I agree whole heartily! I too am of that belief. (First degree Correllian Wicca Priestess). I really wish that others would see this too instead of trying to push their ideas on the rest
of us!

Nope. don't think that at all. The oracle at Delphi fell silent long, long ago. There are no true pagans now a days. Pretty much everyone is a believer or a heretic. (someone who twists the truth to make it apply to their situation) A true pagan knows nothing about the One God, and only follows the pantheon of lesser gods.

Modern paganism is really a desire to go back to a time before anyone knew about the One God, where magic seemed possible simply by an act of will and an incantation.

(I purposely left out atheists because they've always been around)

I really wish that this were true, but I fear I will never see this in my lifetime.

Religion is insidious and like a drug the populace will not be able to shake it easily. So although their numbers may wane, I doubt that the monotheists will just go quietly into the night.

Sorry but I don't agree. Read the book of Revelations. There will be rough days ahead for the Christians but in the end, Jesus will triumph. Yes, the one world government will rise and the church will go underground but it will survive to see the victory.

well of course it will never actually go 'out' altogether, but as far as making it a minority, i do see some possibility of this happening in the future and for the safety of the world and human sanity i do think it will be a good thing.

I don't think people will ever change that much. Religions like Christianity will become minority religions, but people are going still be just as dumb. They'll find some other ideology to cling to.

I HOPE and PRAY that this is our future as I truly believe that this pattern is NECESSARY to our continued survival on this planet.

Well Christianity will never go "out", since it is the absolute truth. But people saying "let's all just say everything is truth and get along", will increase, because that is the platform that will unfortunately bring antichrist into power for a very short time.
