I have two adult cats and use two litter boxes. I was thinking about investing in the self cleaning litter boxes. They are expensive. Before I do I was wondering if anyone has them and do they work well. Would one work fine for two cats? Thanks in advance!

I have two cats and two litterboxes. The littermaid (automatic) one is in the basement and my cats love it! They hardly use the upstairs one anymore. One of my cats is real skittish and she is very comfortable with the littermaid one. If $ might be a problem don't forget you have to buy the refills that hold the waste. It comes with 5 or so, then packs of 12 are about $13 at walmart. Our cats fill a container every 4-5 days.

I use to work for a lady that 5 cats she only used the self cleaning litter box I don't remember the name of it, but it really did work. Her house never stunk and when I would come over to clean her house there was little to no mess on the floor. I believe that it would be a great investment

My mom has 3 cats and they love the automatic cleaning litterbox. When it runs they run over to watch it, and now they never use the old box. One box is fine for them, although it has to be cleaned every day.

it works great, i used littermaid for 3 of my cats and it worked out perfectly. i was a little ancy about it at first but it proved to be worth the money.

It was a total waste of money to us, as both our cats were petrified of the new little box (sound/motion) and stayed clear of it, doing their business on the floor.
