Im seriously considering entering the field (would be starting school in spring..). Is it a challenging, interesting job, or will i bore easily? I want something in the medical field, but also need something that can capture and keep my interest throughout my career. Im also going to be looking to support a family on my salary, but from what i've heard/ read, that shouldnt be too much of a problem... Opinions on Resp. therapy/ other viable options? All info appreciated! =)

No, i wasnt aware...but, i think that if its an interesting job, i would have no problem retaking exams/ keeping up to speed. The school im considering also offers "refresher courses" to take whenever needed to stay up to speed, if thats along the line of whats needed...

I have found it interesting for 22 years. I work with several people who have been therapists for 30+ years.
My only caveat would be-are you aware of the credentialing requirements? You must either retake the credentialing exam or acquire 60 continuing education credits every 3 years. We are talking hundreds of bucks. You might want to contact the NBRC for details before you decide. Good luck.
