Your dog has been alive for 5 people years.

Dogs live for about 10 -15 years, people live for about 75 years.

Dog years refer to a hypothetical ratio that relates 10 years to 75 years, resulting in a 1:7 ration... Using this math a 5 year old dog would be 5 years old in people years and 35 years old in dog years.

However, for a little extra. At one year, a dog is about as mature as an 18 yo. At two years, the dog is like a 25 yo. At 6 years, a large dog is like a 65 yo, but a small dog may be like a 40 yo.

A dog matures in about 1 year, a human in about 18 years. So a dog born 1 human year ago is about 18 years old in "dog years." After that it's about 4:1, so a 5 year-old dog is 18 + 16 = 34 "dog years" which is full adulthood.

One dog year is 7 human years. So if he is 5 years old, he is 35 years old in human years.

Nah it's like 13 for the first year and 7 years for each year after that.. so your five year old dog is 13 + ( 4 x 7 ) = 41

He is 5 years old, but based on his size/weight, his physical age would be more. So, I guess you would be right ... approximately 35 years old in dog years.

The dog was born 5 years ago - that's human years.
So, it would be 35 in dog years.

ETA: Here's how you can remember...dogs age faster than humans.
