I just love that color. I looked at some carpet swathes and there was only 1 shade of burnt orange I thought would be beautiful. I think my dark brown carpet is depressing me.

In style? Doesn't matter. Dark brown sounds awful. Burnt orange looks so amazing - you can team it with rich blacks and oriental greens and it will look so good and modern - add some new artwork on your wall (buy a really cheap canvas and paint in colors to match the carpet - with white and black and green in a big modern spash) - add big vases with some burnt orange on them and big black painted branches in them - add some small black japanese style square platters on your coffee table with burnt orange and white candles - it will look AMAZING

You can do burnt orange in a Berber - just don't go any more plush than that unless you want to start singing "Boogie Fever". It is a great color, but another option is furniture - hot color in sofas lately...mellowed a bit..but still a light burnt orange.

burnt orange would be ACCEPTABLE if if it was an accent rug on a hard wooden floor, but ALL burnt orange? that's just as bad as dk. brown. if you're going to get new carpet, break out the big guns and get the wooden flooring - plus it's easier to keep clean. much more classy..

Yes plus if you have sex on it its ok. The juice stains wont show.
