no immigrants = economy collapses
too many immigrants = pressure on economy

Many immigrants to Britain are desperate hard working people, and that I understand; But many more are not. There has never in history been a case like ours, where a sucsession of governments composed of traitors crooks and fools have stayed in power one after another for fifty years. Nobody knows how many people of other races are now in Britain, or how many children they have had, and we never will. All I know is that every large English city (I don't know about Wales and Scotland) have huge areas that are not England any more. They look like India or Bangladesh. The rising tide of gun crime is almost wholely due to black men, wheather you dare to admit it or not. You know that, don't you? Africa, Somalia, Eastern Europe, these places are slaughterhouses. An Eastern European said to a good friend of mine, a policeman; "I'm not frightened of you, I've killed children!" And you still wonder why the crime rate is climbing? Our lords and masters that we pay grossly inflated wages to will continue to import people as fast as humanly possible. At the moment we are coping, but have you ever stopped to think how this country pays its way in the world? We sell nothing and buy everything, and when the roof falls in then God help us all. That is when the full fruits of what has been sown will hit us.

well too much immigrants would lead to overpopulation problems and strain on public services, but too little means that there wont be enough people to do the little jobs that nobody thinks about. So if there were less immigrants that would mean that there would be more jobs available but more immigrants would mean that Britain would have a larger potential workforce in times of economic growth in order to take advantage of the situation.

it so easy to dis immigrants, maybe, because my family came from immigrants I am little biased, but, throughout history this hatred has happened quite frequently, 100 years ago the Irish were the scummy immigrants and now it is Mexicans. In 100 years it will be a new group and anyone who studied history will think this prejudice is stupid.
Don't blame your country's failures on recent arrivals it is easy blame someone and will not change anything, fix the real solutions.
Sidebar to Speak English - hey moron, they did not have an immigration policy at the time the Irish came over and you think if they did have an immigration policy at the time it would of prevented them from floating into New York, don't be blind.

Fewer would mean a lower availability of workers and hence higher pay. Is that positive or negative? Depends on who you ask.
Fewer would lead to more affordable, available housing for non-immigrants. But, as the above answerer mentioned, would anyone want it?
I've always been of the opinion that a nation is best served only by immigrants selected for their specific, professional or skill-based contribution to the economy at the time, and for what is predicted (according to forecast economic need).
In the case of Britain as with most developed economies, the first responsibility of government is to represent the concerns of those who built the nation - the citizens whose parents, grandparents, etc, sacrificed unconditionally for the security of their OWN posterity.

Well we'd all have to get off our lardy arses, and do some work as there would be no poles paying taxes to pay our jobseekers. Jeremey Kyle, Trisha, and the Loose women would all get made redundant as no one would be there to watch them, we'd all be too busy working.
And what would happen to McDonalds, they'd have to start employing Brits who demand a decent wage, the price of a burger would go up, and we'd all be on the streets protesting.

Where immigrants? What immigrants? Who immigrants? Migration is one of the strengths of the human race, Explain how it can be positive or negative! National borders are irrelevant.

positive
more housing (doubt many uk or us residents would live in the same circumstances tho)
more jobs
less benefit payout
more people to understand in a bus queue
more places at university
negative
less people willing to work
less trained professionals
we learn nothing of their culture & language
we deny the freedomof people as stated in EU law
we will be denied access elsewhere in EU
less people paying in to the TAX / NI system
** despite seemingly popular belief, the immigrants you are referring to are also your doctors, consultants, office workers, they are not all un-educated.
