English Never drink from the saucer. That is the tradition in the Middle East to drink from the suacer..

Well i don't know whether they drink or not.............but must assure you guys that its very cool to drink tea from saucer at our CHAI WALA's shop...........And one thing is for sure when you drink it from saucer dont forget to make a lot of NOISE like ssssssssssuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good heavens ,No .The English & drink tea from a saucer ? Unthinkable,it just isn't proper ,never was.

no the saucer is wht you place the tea cup on but sometimes they pick the saucer up and hold it and lift the tea cup a little to there mouth sometrimes.

not really anymore. that was more a cinematic characteristic American filmmakers used, though spills are poured directly back into the cups, I've noted
