Why do some of us seem graced while others do not? What determines who gets God's grace and who doesn't?

You are his favorite.
You are always on his mind.
He loves to hear from you.
He never takes his eyes off of you.
He has your picture on his refrigerator.
When he gets a call, he hopes it's you.
You are his favorite.

Dear twinsma,

It's kind of neat that you are asking this question because i just taught a Bible study on the book of James- 1:17-1:19 and one of the things that the verse teaches is that: God is good, he gives us good gifts that he has specifically chosen for us- and he is a generous God that keeps on giving.

i think people have to recognize that God is good to be able to see His grace in their lives.

The Bible clearly says that God does not show favoritism.

I think different people can handle different things- and rich or poor, etc. each carries its own temptation.

i guess you also have to look at how you "measure" what is considered "receiving grace."

i hope this is pretty clear- and if it's not please feel free to email me- i'd be more than happy to share more with you.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Very simple. He has a chosen people, and they are the ones He deals with(Israelites),along with the ones who want to obey His ways and live in them..He gives grace to those who serve Him,those who serve Him,get grace..Or the grace can also be because one of His servants are in the mix,so it seems that some who dont deserve it is getting the grace, when its really only because one or some of His chosen ones are present..Its because of them, not someone who doesnt follow Him..So yes,he does play favorites,so to speak..But those who arent in His ways, dont like that fact,so they try and debate it..Shalom

Well...God says: Heb 11:6 "It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

Romans 4:16 This is why the fulfillment of God's promise depends entirely on trusting God and his way, and then simply embracing him and what he does. God's promise arrives as pure gift.

Heb 11:1 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. "

So, in short - no God doesn't play "favorites" but we put ourselves either in a place where we can receive what He offers or remove ourselves far from Him by our choices

God blesses with heavenly rewards. These things are not material so are unseen by most today. Those who "seem blessed" are blessed by the devil who gives earthly rewards. Ones own heart is what determines who gets God's grace.

I wouldn't think at all that God plays favorites. Especially after what all of the people in religions do to everyone else.
