I think I would trust God anyway... Even if I find out that God doesn't exist, which is almost impossible for me to consider, but IF I find that out, I would still believe that something else would happen to me and that I would go somewhere anyways... Even if I find out that there is nothing else after this, that I don't have a spirit that will continue, I would just be extremely disappointed.
I am sure I will continue after death in some sort of life, I don't know how, when and where, but I know I will continue, even if I find out that my religion is not correct.
There is only one way for us to be absolutely sure about everything after death: only after we die!! However, if there is nothing at all after death, we will not be able to be aware of it then. So, atheists will never have the chance to say "I told you"...

So?
I look at it this way: I die on the same day as the atheist who lives next door....and one of two things happens:
1. The atheist was right, and we both just cease to exist. So? What's the worst? That I spent my life trying to be a better person and love others? Gosh, that's a shame.
OR
2. I am right, and the atheist and I show up at the judgement......in which case, I still have nothing to worry about.
The bottom line is, EITHER WAY, I'm okay.
It's the atheist who's taking an ETERNAL chance.

Well, Im a Christian, but my faith and like my religious "life style" is kinda going down hill. I dont want to be like some religious freak, but I wish I was more like faithful to my God. Im having doubts like "Is God really there? or is it something that human race have developed over millions of years?" I mean, those ancient people worshiped from cows, trees, river, the sun.. I wish I just believed whether or not my religion is true or not. Because my religion follows all the good things in life, so I wouldnt be hurt from it.

If I found out my religion was a lie, I'd still be happy that I lived my life the way I did.

If someone's going to find this out, it has to be before death, because after death there is not even the consciousness to know it was wrong.
You can't "disprove" a religion, but that's not the point. The point is that you can't prove it. It's not necessar to prove there was no Cinderella; one must assume there wasn't one unless someone can prove otherwise. It's completely backwards to believe something until it's disproven; it only makes sense to believe it when it has been proven.

No physical evidence will ever convince me that my faith in Christ is in vain.
There is no way I could find this out, (hypothetically speaking), without dying.
If it turns out that my religion is a lie, then I don't suppose it will matter too much after I die.
Well, not to me, anyway...
I'll have a whiskey sour, if you don't mind.
Easy on the whiskey. It'll make me sleepy, but then, it's about my bedtime, anyhow...
Do you suppose Pascal actually came up with his famous wager after having been asked this same question...who-knows-how-many times?

"Before I died" or "Tomorrow"? Make up your mind!
I view my religion as a personal tool, not a cause. If it was "a lie", then even if I accepted that, it would beg the question of why it has worked so well for me, and what components make it a "lie". Kinda like when we all found out Newton's equation F=ma was "wrong".
(And please folks, enough of these lame semantics like "I follow Jesus and not a religion". If you follow Jesus then your religion is Christianity, period.)

change.
being a true christian would not be any fun. jesus didnt even have a place to lay his head. (matt. 8:20) paul was persecuted harshly. (2 cor. 11:23-27) all christs disciples were told that the world would hate them. (1 john 3:13.) so if i found out i was doing all this for nothing, then believe me i would join the band wagon of those who feel they can escape accountability by rejecting god. saying he doesnt exist. it really is inexcusable though (rom 1:20)

actually I am multi religious person, so to be honest I don't have a personal believe system. So if one of my religion is wrong then I guess I can always go after another. And if they are all wrong, then I'll just take parts of those religions that I like and make myself one.

Well....that would be pretty hard to do honestly. BUT we'll be hypothetical.
I wouldn't care. I love my religion and I love the people and the life that comes with it. That won't change with any "facts" presented to me. I will have lived my life in a way that brought me and my children peace. Fact or fiction, how is that wrong?
