Yes I attended a church for a while on Wed. nites that had several women with the spirit of Jezebel. There was also a man who had the spirit of Jezebel. When he laid his hands on me I felt evil come out of him and I never let him touch me again These were secretly practicing witchcraft while also claiming to be followers of Jesus. Very scary stuff. After their public exposure and also after several other bad doctrines and practices came to light I left this fellowship. Later the church broke up. Very sad as I know there were many true believers there. Be careful, who you let pray for you, and who you let lay hands on you. You just might encounter an unclen spirit like I did. If you do encounter the spirit of Jezebel pray this prayer ... Oh LORD shelter me under the blood of Jesus, and rebuke thou Satan away in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. God bless you .

Yes there is also Religious Spirits too. we are in the last days and we must keep the word of God with in our hearts, and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us, because Satan has many churches claiming to be that of God. Satan can and will appear as a angel of light, his children can even cast out demons in the name of Christ. The 7 letters in Revelation are good to read they are also a warning for churches today. The Holy Spirit will give us discernment to recognize these unclean spirits

Actually Diane...there are 3 questions here...
Have I seen Hollywood horror movie types? heads turning and floating above the ground, no?
have I seen men loose all sense of who they are and where they are, at the mention of Jesus? you bet.
And one more...come with me on my next rotation through Africa or Brazil...what you'll see there is bound to raise the hair on the back of your neck. Or wait until I come home and join me at a prison ministry....seen enough evil come through those doors to cause a man to never doubt there is a devil.
Not knocking my brothers and sisters in Christ, but I've also seen a lot of good hearted Christians run back to the vehicle and lock the doors when they see evil up close. Discerning an evil and witnessing it up close... well...these are two different matters.
Also remember an old saying from my days in the army....men who fought the closest to the front speak the least...it's the heros from the rear echlon who brag the most.

A person should go to a bible believing and teach church not to look for "sinners" (trouble makers). They need to try to get closer to Jesus. There will probably be some Jezebels in a church. The church leaders and other strong christians should deal with Jezebels.

I do understand about spirits a little and how they can and do affect peole negatively-even Christians. I guess I have encountered them at church somewhat. Not that anyone came to church demon possessed or anything.(I do not feel a true Christian can be demon possessed) But, some people have gotten upset or offended by things that go on at church.

Yes, I have from my own brothers and sisters in Christ. You just have to pray for them. Persecution dosn't just come from outside of the church. Offense on the other hand has to be recieved. Offense is unforgiveness, and anger that you choose to hold in, and you can't blame the person you are offended with, no one can MAKE you angry, mad or offended, it is your choice. Remember that just because you and others are saved, it doesn't mean that we are perfect, yet.

Yes, when you walk close to the Lord then you will have discernment, that you know the difference between evil and good.My spiritual eyes are wide open and yes I see all kinds of things in churches that is not of God. Sometimes pastors don't even see them.

YES, AND CAPNARLO GIVES EXCELLENT ADVICE.
OUR WARFARE IS NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD BUT A SPIRITUAL WARFARE AGAINST POWERS OF DARKNESS.
CHRISTIANS NEED TO KNOW THEIR POSITION IN CHRIST AND THE AUTHORITY THAT HE HAS GIVEN US.
