*slow blink* You don't know anything about Wicca do you? Wicca is about 60 years old. The Harry Potter books are 10 years old. Do the math. And while you're doing it, stop trolling.

Wicca is NOT based off of the Harry Potter series of books.
Wicca has been recognized as a religion since before J.K. Rowling was born.
The Harry Potter books do not accurately portray "Witchcraft and Wizardry" in the Wiccan context and are ENTIRELY fictional morality tales with Harry being the "good" side of the equation and Voldemort being the "evil" side. Anyone who says differently DOES NOT KNOW WHAT WICCA IS and probably has not read the Harry Potter series.....

Wiccan is a religion based upon Witchcraft created back in the 1950's by Gerald Gardener and has been gaining popularity ever since. It is now a legally regognized religion. Harry Potter books are fantasy and have nothing to do with REAL Wiccan beliefs or REAL Witchcraft. However, the books have sparked even further interest in both Wicca and Witchcraft.

Wicca is nothing like the magic in Harry Potter.
the basis for Wicca has been around a few thousand years longer, for one thing. It's a religion that recognizes the Divine in the Earth and the Earth's creatures.
