Clarence Thomas, If you go to wikipedia there is quite a big write up about him. For some reason or other I have tried to send the link a couple of times and it keeps coming up with "error 999" ? I don't know what that's' all about.

Clarence Thomas was a former Supreme Court Justice. He is no longer on the bench due to a controversial situation, years ago.

Frightening to read what's been written. Justice Thomas is very much an active member of the SCOTUS. He was never forced off the bench or into retirement. A lifetime appointment is a lifetime appointment.
And it is correct that he has no legal middle name. Never needed one, never missed having it. Given where and when he was born, there was no social more to give middle names to one's children.
