I think most developmentally disabled people don't think they are different than other people. People who are right on the border, however, would be able to see a difference. I work with people with disabilities and have known people on the border that were frustrated because they just couldn't understand things that most people do understand.

There been a whole stigma with normal people for thousands and thousands of years. Some mentally challenged people has never befriend a normal person because they think that the normal people claim to be very mean & nasty to the mentally challenged, which means that they are too unnice and too difficult to get along with anyone who is different.

It depends on their condition, with some disabilities they dont even think like that.

Well, depends on what they say to them... Like I have a friend and I'm not joking or making fun of him, who is challanged and he seems to think we're alike...But when he see's someone else, he acts the same way...I guess it depends on the day...I dunno
