The high fiber will resolve the cholesterol. There have been some very promising studies with Omega-3 fatty acids actually lowering triglycerides. Just make sure it is a quality Omega-3 product. The last thing you need is a contaminated fish oil.

Oatmeal and cinnamon do a good job on cholesterol, but remember you may end up on medication anyway. Sometimes its just not enough and you need the pills. Try the diet and exercise regime for 6 months, get re-tested and see how its going.

Stay off naturally fatty food.YEAH... you know the one's I'm talking about, the doughnuts, the fries all the oily fast foods. Start a diet rich in fuits, fish and vegetables. Use Canola or Olive oil when frying if you have to. Stay with grilled or baked food.

red rice yeast...its like a vitamin, or supplement, so even though it's a pill its not a prescription medication. a lot of doctors reccomend people with high cholesterol who can't afford the prescription medication take it. it will help more than oatmeal, or any other kind of food. :)
