Hello,
I prefer some nice Rotini, Radiatore, Ziti, Penne Rigata, or other types of Pastas that really hold the sauce well and I always prefer a very aromatic Tomato/Basil sauce or one with tiny chunks of Sausage in it best. I top it with some Peperoncini, Roasted Red Peppers, Capers, Black Olives, Pickles or Sweet Gherkins and of course, grated cheese. I like a nice Parmesian and Romano blend. Add a side salad with some Blue Cheese dressing and some rolled and buttered slightly warmed Pita Bread and I am nearly in culinary heaven!

Depends. As a side dish, I LOVE penne alla vodka, but it's WAY too heavy for a main dish. I love my homemade quick meat sauce, with almost any shape of pasta. (If I'm in a hurry, I dig angel hair because it cooks quickly.) For jarred sauce, I like Newman's Own Marinara.

penne w/ vodka sauce, delicious! especially with pink or white vodka sauce, has a creamy taste to it, red vodka is more filling and heartier though.
