Lovebirds can have many things we humans eat. Only things they should never have is Chocolate, avocados, salt, caffeine, and our junk foods. Also you should avoid citrus fruit, dairy(only in small amounts),onions, and cabbage. My birds love broccoli though and peppers.

My lovebird gos crazy for rice, he also likes fresh greens like spinach green for salad. They also sell treat bars into the petshops my birdslove em they are a few dollars but they take a while for the bird to chew up so in my opinion they are worth it. they are made by kaytee

Another treat you can get is branch millet sprays they have them into walmarts for like 2. they are millet in the natural form.
Lovies usually love sunflowers but they are thought by some people to make them aggressive.
Finally don't forget the cuttlebone they are dirt cheap and essential for gnawing and calcium.

Try cheerios, it's healthy and you can feed them from your hands. They just love them! You'll be surprised how much they will come to the front of the cage for them. I've used them for years as a training treat for all species of birds and used them for toys on raw hide strings as a cheap toy to hang in the cages for cheap toys.

Good Luck!
