For me this means that a negative event, a painful event, can be the catalyst for a positive change.

In fact, it this through this philosophy that I can understand the reason we suffer. If everything always went the way we wished, we would remain static and unchanging. Movement and growth is a part of the this planet, and is sometimes painful, or chaotic. It is through chaos, that we arrive at the next level of understanding or enlightment.

"And a woman spoke, saying, "Tell us of Pain."

And he said:

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.

And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;

And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.

And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.

Much of your pain is self-chosen.

It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.

Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:

For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,

And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears."

Even if you don't get to do something you really want to or something didn't happen how you wanted or intended it to, it happened for a reason. EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Even though that didn't work out, it's for the best and a new and even better opportunity will come along that you might not be able to even imagine. God works in mysterious, yet miraculous ways.

Hope that helped. God bless you!

That with God on my side anything can happen if I have faith in Him. He can reward me with much more than anyone here on earth...the difference is that His rewards are more valuable than any amount of money I could win in the lottery. If I trust in Him, when "man" says something is impossible for me He will show them the possible :-)
