In God's eyes, people who live a good, moral, loving life are simply good people who do good things and make the world a better place to live in. They could be Christian, Muslim or Jew or anybody for that matter. The important thing is, that they've done something regardless of how large or small that has maybe made some smile or made someones life alittle better. They're an example of goodness which God desires of all of us.

God gave us the gift of understanding right from wrong. It is a pretty fascinating gift. Think of all the law books we have in the world. Unless you are a well trained lawyer, it is impossible to even know all the laws out there. We have the choice to do what we want. We have free will. But we have this God given conscience to help us along the way. The problem is that we need God to keep our moral compass pointing the right way. People can get way off track. People who commit serious sins such as murder etc. have just wandered off the path so far that they have lost perspective. This is why we need God. He keeps our conscience sharp. He helps us grow in knowledge and understanding and love for him. And this affects us to be a better reflection of him. God is good. He teaches us to be like him. If you say you don't need him.....you are going to have more trouble leading a moral life. You may not be a bad person. You may live a good life and have lots of morals. But ask yourself this? What does God require of you? Instead of saying you are doing enough and deciding for yourself what is right and wrong, should you not in fact be looking at the bible and finding out what is expected of you? God made you afterall. I think you need to find out what he expects of you, rather than deciding for yourself what it is. That is a dangerous path, because you are always going to expect less of yourself.

We are all sinners, Christians , non Christians , whatever. None of us is good. Only God is good & Holy. Believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior are saved by grace, not because of any so-called good thing they did. God loves everyone, as we should. He hates some things we do, but He is long-suffering, not wishing that anyone should perish. That means to die without having received the free gift of salvation made possible by Jesus' death on the cross. He died for EVERYONE, not just some. All we need do is accept Jesus free gift of salvation. Christians are no better than anyone else. God will judge us all some day, and He will decide who is worthy of eternal life and who isn't.

Yes, people who live good, moral, and loving lives are better than people who do not. Christians might NOT be better off in the world, as I have found that it is my faith that causes much hate, ignorance, and violence. One of the great ironies of life, I suppose.

I don't think all Christians lead moral loving lives. Take a look at prison.

This is circular.
We praise behavior that we see is beneficial to ourselves in some way, either directly or indirectly. We praise it by calling it good and moral. So those who are good and moral are automatically better than others because they do what we want them to do.

Christians are better? Since when?
I do not need religion to live my life in a moral way.
If you need religion to tell you not to kill , steal, and so forth.. you are in very serious trouble.
I am glad my parents taught me good moral values, and did not brainwash me into a religion of madness.
