No. People are, if they steal your Pokemon cards.

Oh good heavens... NO! It encourages kids to play TOGETHER rather than separately, teaches strategy, helps with memorization and many more things. We are having a Pokemon Card Club at my son's school this year and I couldn't be happier about it.

Edit to Jack below me:
The Pokemon WANT to be with a trainer. It's a friendship between the two. The trainer feeds the Pokemon, takes it for walks, plays with it, and teaches it moves as it evolves and grows. The Pokemon don't really "fight," per se... they battle each other with guidance from the trainer. They don't die, but they faint after a battle and the trainer must take them to a PokeCenter to heal them. It helps teach responsibility for creatures great and small. It teaches cooperation between the pokemon and the trainer. If you've been guided to think the worst of Pokemon, then you'll do so, regardless what others say. But my son has learned a LOT from Pokemon... ALL of it good. I play it myself, with him and without him, and I'd do it all over again.

I don't think it ment to be evil, but some stupid kids made their pets fight each other. I would say pokemon should not be for annyone under 7 because kids can't tell the difference and they might end up doing animal abuse.

Which one?

Well, it think that the principle it teaches kids is not very good. Imagine these pokemons are animals. An animal is the closest equivalent in child's mind. You need to first catch them, then train them to fight other animals. The better they fight, the more respect you get as a trainer. This is sort of like dog-fighting with a cute spin to it. Moreover, these pokemons don't die when beaten, but merely 'faint' and can be then 'reset' to original condition. This is unrealistic and seems to be teaching kids, it is ok to inflict suffering onto other creatures for selfish gain.

Thanks for reading my opinion.

Have you seen the Pokemon cards with the demonic chants on them? Get the drift.

It's amusement.

To muse is to think. Adding the "a" makes the word the opposite.
