Try talking about whatever you have always talked about. That obviously made him ask you to the dance. The one piece of advice I would give anyone going on a "date" is to talk about the other person more than you talk about yourself. Keep your confidence up and remember that he is going to be just as nervous as you. I was when I was 11 and I bet he is too.

Hun, you are too young to be going out with boys. I started havin boyfriend ever since grade 8. Now im in grade 10, and im still with my boy friend from gr 8 lol 2 years alredy ! When having a boyfriend you must respect each other, and love each other. But all i know is that preteen boys probably like talking bout sports especially "Basketball" my bf loves it. Talk about school, and ask him how's life? lol that's what i always ask my bf! =) well dats it.

Ok I'm 14 and being asked out by your crush is a big deall and the fact that you are setting aside time to get to know each other is really good. You are on the right path, but you dont have to act intrested in things he like for him to like you. Talk about sports, tv, family, places you have traveled too. If your worried about aqward silences, dont be. If you dont let it be aqward it wont. If you have any questions you can email me at pretty_n_pnk1993@yahoo.com
good luck

Instead of just sitting around and talking, go on the swings to gether to climb the monkey bars or something. It's better than just standing staring at your feet. Ask him lots of questions, but make sure theyn are not yes/no questions, as in
"Do you like the color blue?" instead say, "so what are your favorite colors." Volunteer a lot about yourself. He likes you- he wants t know about you. If you can't think os something interesting to say, make something up. Keep the convo flowing!

Talk about sports, what you are going to eat for lunch, homework, your favorite things to do on the weekends, your pets, things you used to be scared of when you were little, what you want to be when you grow up, your siblings if you have any, your favorite rides at amusement parks, the last movie you saw, your favorite author, how often you get your allowance, which chores you hate at home. That should keep you two chatting for a while!

I know I'm only a year older than you but you shouldn't be dating when you're 11. Wait until you're 13. It's not worth it if you do it before.
