If you are gay yourself and you are interested in another guy (no offense just giving an example) then you can say "eres gay?" as a question. However if you want to say it as an isult to a gay, then you can say "sos un gay" or "sos un marica" which is stronger. If you use the "eres gay" one as an insult, it will sound pretty week and people will probably think that you are gay.

You don't. You would respond with jejeje which is equivalent to lol in Spanish. Lol is an English slang term therefore it does not exist.

We use many words, it depends from what spanish speaking country you are, but I think that the most used is "Tú eres marica". (we use: Marica, Maricón, marico, gay, joto, etc)
In Spain they use "marica"
In Argentina they use "Puto"
In Venezuela they use "Marico"
In Chile they use "Maricón"
