This is what bothers me when others come in to America and set up their own belief system and their own little communities, whatever; what will happen down the road? Another situation like Iran, Iraq, wherever the Muslims are trying to take over? Why can't they just stay over on their side of the ocean if they still want to live as they did there? If they come to America, they should become American-in all ways.
Same with Hispanics; you want to live like you did in Mexico, go back and improve your own country; don't try to change ours.

The first amendment guarantees freedom of religion. However the founding fathers did not forsee a situation in which a major world religion or at least a major sect of the religion would teach mass murders of innocent people to please a very strange type of god. The Koran is indeed far more militant and warlike than the Bible. When it s taken literally it leads to the idea than anyone who rejects Islam must be beheaded. That s exactly what al-Qaeda and other organizations of its type believe. In practice they also slaughter huge numbers of people they regard as fake Muslims. Sunni Muslims and Shiite Muslims often kill each other for this reason.

there's no reason why it shouldn't be allowed to be taught in the US. the Koran, Bible, Old Testament (or any religious text) in the hands of proper, sane, intelligent people would result in a wonderfully transformative life journey. Put the koran in the hands of a nut, a fool or a total goofball and you'll end up with a suicide bomber.

I think there are moderate Muslims and Extreme Muslims. Moderate Muslims look upon some of the warlike sayings of the Koran with moderation. The United States is a country that believes in freedom of speech. There are problems, but its not what you read that gets you in trouble, its how you use the knowledge you believe you have gained. If you blow up things you get in trouble.

Because the USA has freedom of religion. Is that such a hard concept for you to understand? We also have freedom of speech which is why we are allowed to say the quran is so terrible.
God Bless.

Because there's this thing called Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech here.
If I want, I can make a living telling people that murder is good and that they should sleep around all they like. As long as I don't directly encourage them to kill someone, I'm well within my rights.
The USA doesn't silence a voice unless it directly infringes the safety of others.

It is being taught in the religious schools and mosques. What is your problem? It is not taught anywhere else, not in regular school, neither is the bible or any other religious book.

I don't think the Koran (or the Bible for that matter) are dangerous, it's the people who misinterpret it and pervert it are the problem, both Christianity and Islam are SUPPOSED to be religions of peace and tolerance.

Even fools have the right to freedom of speech in the US. What about in your country? Why is the Bible not allowed to be preached in Islamic countries?
