I just got my deep fryer yesterday, and what kind of stuff can I fry in there. Can I fry frozen fried foods in there, or only fresh. Is there any good desserts to fry. Could I do red meats in it or, what. any good recipes.

You can also take a batter, dip banana slices into the batter and spoon it into your deep fryer. Fry until golden brown. The bananas will be tender and sweet. The batter is similar to pancake batter so you can use that if you have it - like Bisquick.

You can fry:
shrimp
french fries
Yams cut like french fries - very good
donuts
chicken
etc.

In the past we used to reuse the oil and when it had pieces in it, we would strain it and use a slice of bread to remove the fish taste if we did fish. You can also fry hush puppies if you cook fish. But, recently we've been told that the more you reuse oil, the more trans fats there are in the oil from the high heat. So I don't know if you want to reuse the oil.

You can do the Blooming Onion - if you know what that is. Panko makes a nice coating on things too.

Before you fry all of your frozen food in there read the label. I made some fish sticks in my deep fryer once. They were not edible. It said right on the package that deep frying was not recommended. I like to make homemade potato wedges.

Slice a potato into wedges. You can leave the peel on or take it off. Put them into the fryer until they're tender. Then season them with whatever you choose.

Many of your prepackage frozen foods including desserts.
Apple turnovers and other pastries will do great. While you are at it try Pork loins or chops. Also, to cut down on fat and calorie consumption. Fill your deep fryer or fry pan with coconut oil. This will give a great taste to all foods and you get no fat stored body wise from the oil. Over time you even start to lose pounds.
