Actions are stronger that words. Praying for non-believers is better than preaching to them. You are a powerful witness to Christ's love by the way you treat others and how you live your life. Be pure of heart and distance yourself from all immorality. Be joyful, humble, giving, faithful, charitable, loving, etc, and you will draw many people to Christ. God bless.

Dear Friend, the first thing to do is pray. God will lead you in the right direction. I commend your willingness to put yourself out there that way. Witnessing is something that scares me some. It's not that I don't know what to say, or anything, I'm just naturally a more shy and quiet person.
Remember that sometimes, it is more our day to day actions, and words that will plant that seed. Also, each person is not necessarily ours to be witness to coming to the Lord. Sometimes we plant, and another waters, and so forth. So don't get discouraged by the things others have said here, or by people walking away, etc.
Our youth group regularly goes out to a park, or path where there are a lot of runners, and offer free bottles of water, as a way to start a conversation. They do really well with it.
If the time and place is right, trust in the Holy Spirit to give you the perfect words for what you are to do.
God Bless you.

First of all, don't be discouraged by the answers you've got so far. R&S has a crowd of hangers-on who have nothing better to do than spit poison at their worthy opponents, all religions included. But these are the people we ought most to be reaching.
First, pray that God will open their hearts to him. No one can even begin to accept Christ without him being there, guiding their heart and mind to him. Make sure that everything you do is done prayerfully. Listen to God, too. Sometimes you may want to bring someone to Christ, but replies that they're not ready for him yet. Wait for the Spirit to move you.
Second, start with general conversation. You'd be amazed at how many topics of discussion just saying that you're a Christian can open up. Don't be too pushy or send them straight into the dogma. Don't even push the bible on them, because that will make a lot of people shy off, intimidated by the text. Just open up a personal conversation and let it flow from there.
I pray that you will be an instrument of the gospel in the world. God's peace.

Justin, If you have the love of Jesus in your heart you are ready to go. I just start talking to all different types of people wherever you are. You can start by just asking regular questions about what they are up to and go from there. God always seems to make a way to bring up Jesus. I would go with the way that you feel comfortable talking about Jesus. It is so encouraging to know that others want to share the gospel and are wanting to also step out in faith. I think you will do a great job!

Ok what I am seeing by the answers is that alot of people do not understand the difference between witnessing to people and head hunting. No one wants to be hunted! So its very difficult keeping sincerity when you are "head hunting". I am not saying you are but thats how most non-believers see it. The best way to start is by looking for areas of need. Look for someone that is hurting or needs help. Our church commonly finds someone in need and we will paint their house or put a new roof on their house. You will commonly find that people are offended by the Gospel, it is offensive by nature, it challenges the way they live and act and brings accountability into the picture. Show them Jesus love first then speak it when the time is right. God did not give us the option of witnessing its a command so dont let people tell you not to.
God Bless

Your ideas are all very good. There are many great ways to help bring someone to Christ, but make sure you pray about it and ask God to give you the opportunities you are looking for. If you feel God telling you to speak up to someone, do it, otherwise, take your times and make sure the time is right. If you listen, God will tell you when a person is ready for you to tell them about Christ. Good Luck and God Bless

I've heard of him.
I used to be a born-again, saved, God-Fearing and God-Loving Christian.
I'm now an atheist.
There was a famous saint who once said something to the effect of, "Witness to Christ. Only if you absolutely must, use words."

Nope that will only work in very rare occasions. There are two things that you need to do, life your life as an absolute witness of your faith, and second and more importantly, you need to provide hard evidence that what you believe is true.

Let others notice the way you live, talk, feel, breathe, etc. Then wait for them to come to you. no one wants someone to shove stuff down their necks. We are all bombarded with so much info and marketing that it is almost impossible for me to believe what I hear...I can only believe what I see.

i think of we had a Watchtower some months in the past highlighting concerns of ethical experience. pondering exceedingly the question of apostates, in the beginning there is the undeniable fact which you many times do not realize they are apostate till once you confer with them, so which you ought to make allowance for that. yet in addition, the two Bible innovations I remember are the only the refers to 'not even asserting a greeting to this manner of guy', and the only which asserts of somebody who won't repent of a severe sin, 'enable him grow to be to you merely as a guy of the international locations and as a employed guy'. What it variety of feels to me that the Bible is telling us is that disfellowshipped human beings ought to now not be seen as brothers and sisters, yet as strangers. Now i will see why that would recommend not greeting somebody once you notice them. yet whilst they say hi to you as you bypass them, I quite have in lots of circumstances nonetheless there grow to be no reason to not say hi back. i think of you will possibly do this with a guy of the international locations or a employed guy. that's not treating them as a brother, it is merely common courtesy, which I doubt is what the Bible grow to be asserting to not do. on the different hand, in the event that they are quite apostates, then they are doing extra beneficial than having left Jehovah - they are working against him. this can be able to be seen as extra severe - the example of Achan includes recommendations. Technically speaking isn't condemned so a techniques as I remember - what the Bible spoke against grow to be asserting a greeting to them or receiving them into your place. So i think of it grow to be being friendly with them that grow to be condemned, not answering their falsehoods. I do block them when I come for the period of them nonetheless. no remember if or not we predict of it dazzling to ideal a declare if we happen upon one, it is quite authentic that we ought to continually not be searching for them out. Any disagreements?
