Photos 2 Sketches?

Is there any software out there that can convert a digital photograph into a sketch or psuedo painting? The purpose is to take real photos and convert them into illustrations for a children's book.

Any ideas?

there are heaps of them. try Corel or Photoshop

Adobe photoshop contains some amazing graphics programs. Try! brightness/contrast/rmove color etc
