I'm getting my four wisdoms pulled, and I have three options for the operation:
anesthesia
laughing gas
novacaine

Which drug has the smallest chance of harming me?

and I'm 15, if that is in any way relevant.

Novacaine has the least, but if you are offered anesthesia I would go for it, especially since you are getting them all at once

I just got my last one pulled, and while he was great IN my mouth he kept resting the instruments on the corner of my mouth and using it as leverage.
I ended up with that corner being rubbed raw and after a week I am still putting stuff on it to heal (have to "yawn" and rip it open to apply it to the cracks)

Ask the nurse how may times he has put people under, and how many had complications.
I say the nurse because usually they will be a little more honest than the Dr himself

Again Novocaine done RIGHT will work great, the only problem is that he may have to keep using more depend if you feel pain in areas.
Last time, 2 shots whole side of mouth gone, other times over and over (6 one time)

I cant say about gas but place that 2nd

I'm not sure which one has the smallest chance of harming you but I can tell you that anesthesia is the best. When I got my teeth pulled I was all the way under, and I absolutley don't remember anything, it happened so fast. The only part that was bad was the iv, but i barely remember that too. But before going with anesthesia make sure that you don't have any allegeries towards and, it is probably best to talk all this over with your doctor! By the way I was 14 when I got mine pulled.

often impacted awareness enamel ability that they are growing to be below the molars, now that definition may be used widely even nonetheless that is a few thing that should be shield. If left untreated your son would be in severe soreness (mine have been impacted for 6 months) and additionally they could reason harm to the roots of the molars and plausible "push" them out of the gums. Now for coverage, in case you have clinical coverage you're able to be waiting to apply this instead of dental in basic terms because you may declare that that is "preventative drugs" and can preclude any problems later. Im no longer too helpful in case you may prepare for medicare because of the fact i do no longer be responsive to your economic difficulty yet while there's a clinical or dental college close to the place you reside often they are able to accomplish the surgical operation at a prorated cost. Dental college desires sufferers so their pupils can learn so as that they often will paintings on sufferers that can't arise with the money for the different dentist or oral healthcare professional. And in case you pass that course submit to in recommendations that an approved dentist will do the paintings no longer some clean student. yet do a sprint diagnosis!

Talk to the doc, he'll guide you best.

I had 2 pulled and did laughing gas + novacaine = no problems

I know a few friends that had 4 pulled w/ anesthesia w/o problems.

All three are safe. But the least them would be Novocaine...

But since you are getting all four removed at one time I think I would opt for anesthesia. It will make it much easier on you that way.

Novacaine. This is not for the faint of heart, though. I would rather be put under even though it's a bit more dangerous.

i got mine out about a year ago.

i used laughing gas, and got a numbing shot in my gums.

i slept through the whole thing so i felt no pain.

afterwords i used viconin to ease the pain a couple hours later.

it is not that bad, so dont be too worried.

anesthesia has the highest risk. novacaine works very well and will probably be used with nitrous oxide. or laughing gas. that is the way I would go.

Go with the Novacaine its alot safer. But it does involve big needles.

None of those are going to harm you in principle.

I'd go with whichever one your denitst is most experienced with :)
