Pick two of these exercises and do them three days per week. 48 hours minimum rest between workouts.

1. Put a chair or bench under the pull-up bar. Use your legs to partially support yourself, that is, cheat, so you can do some cheating pull-ups.

2. If you have access to a pull-down machine, do that exercise, but use the same arm position and movement as a pull-up.

3. Do curls.

Take it easy on the first two workouts. Let your body get accustomed to these exercises. Then increase the weight over the next 2-3 workouts until you can barely do 5 reps at a time.

For pull-downs / cheating pull-ups, do four or five sets of 5 reps. For curls, do three sets of 5 reps. Rest 3 minutes between sets so you won't be too tired to make a good effort again.

Increase the weight every few workouts to keep improving.

Excess bodyweight makes pull-ups much harder to do. If you have excess weight, cut out sugar, juices, and snacking.

Run; lift as much weight as you can as often as you can; do pushups, pullups, squatjumps, run up steps or hills, WORK is the best way to get strong.
