A mosquito bite provokes a local inflammation, which is the body´s way to contain the foreign antigen, leading to Virchow´s pentad (rubor, calor, tumor, dolor, functio laesa). So the problem should mitigate with a topical antihistamine or rubbing alcohol and/or ice.

Never scratch it. The first mistake we always make, once we swat the mosquito we immediately start to scratch. If you endure about 30 seconds of itching after you've swatted the bug, without scratching, the bite wont itch any more.

Alot of people say put an x mark on your bite but that seems to never work for me. I do know that not scratching is better for the bite but that doesn't really take away the itch. Put some Aloe on it that is made for sunburn and bug bites that will work.

Witch hazel, or cortisone cream. Try witch hazel first. It's a liquid like alcohol and you should be able to get it from the drugstore. Good night!
