In the United States, this should you make you LESS of a candidate. While some people feel the "English" accent makes one more "sophisticated" it repels others in this country. Do not make any attempt to imitate it if you expect to be taken seriously.

If you really are from England, go for it. If you are not, don't even think about it. Instead, be sure you pronounce works properly and enjoy our American English heritage.

Sounding IGNORANT in either style will get you nowhere.

Depends on how heavily accented or broken the English is. Accents are acceptable along with a polished use of the English language. Where you can run into issues is if the accent and the use of English is difficult to understand or chopped. It may also depend on the level of the position you would be interviewing for. The higher the level, the sharper and more defined the English, the better.

In any interview, speak your natural accent. Do not imitate foreign accent. Speak each syllable, particularly the last syllable of each word clearly and distinctly. And you must be taken unless the interviewers are suffering from a complex of inferiority/superiority.

Accent is not criteria these days. How good your communication is important. If your presentation has stuff in it, people pay attention automatically and try to understand you. It will score points. Best of luck.
