He that sees the beauty of holiness, or true moral good, sees the greatest and most important thing in the world... Unless this is seen, nothing is seen that is worth seeing: for there is no other true excellence or beauty.

Yes, I am the first to agree with that. But, being a morally admirable person, and doing good deeds 24/7 will not get anyone to heaven. Only accepting Jesus as your Saviour can do that. No one cometh unto the father except through Him.

There are many who do good works. But it is not by works that man enters into God's Kingdom. Doesn't a vile person still know how to be kind and gentle to his children? Who would give their child a stone if they asked for bread? It is by God's Grace and Mercy that we can find salvation in Christ Jesus.

Sure. But, being a good person and doing good things doesn't get you into Heaven. "Not by works, lest ye boast." Only Being Born Again does. Repenting, Accepting Jesus, and Living for Him. Jesus said "I am the WAY, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through ME." Only by His Grace, through our faith in Him. So, Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Was that what you were wanting to know?

You can train a dog to do good works. That's actually better than most people because most people do their good works for the real and imagined praise they get while a dog just does it for food. In other words, the good works by the dog is more predictable.

Yes, many non-Christians do wonderful works. Deeds are not what Christianity is about- its about a relationship with Christ (which often results in good works)

Sure there are allot of people that do good things, but you don't get to heaven on good works....read Ephesians chapter two verses eight and nine, as the old saying goes there are allot of good people on their way to hell and they don't even know it, and you don't have to believe in hell to go there....

Yes. I read just the other day in a devotional that God works everything out for his glory. Not just everything that Christians do. Everything. Period.
