Now not somebody who actually thinks up a cult thats just as credible as any other Major religion; but those who are Christians but believe in reincarnation, or those who have the nerve to say they believe in Jesus but believe in multiple aspects of Buddhism or Hinduism. Do they not realize they are complete hypocrites, who have 2 beliefs that completely contradict eachother?

"So does this mean that you can;t stand Moses, Jesus, and Muhammed since they each invented their own religions

I.e. jesus was a huge hypocrite since he believed he was a Jew and he worshipped the Hebrew bible(old testament) but he also believed that he was better than it and invented his own rules and thoughts.

Jesus was a pretty creative guy but ur right, people shouldnt just invent their own fairy tales like this."

Puposely doing it in a way you that you believe you are right or you are Gods son. I am not comlaining about that. jesus was not a hypocrite for he claimed he was the messiah. I am not complaining about the other major religions as well. I am complaining about the average person who calls themeselves a Christian and claims they follow the Bible when they go off and worship Buddha or believe on Reincarnation.

when you actually study all these different belief systems, you begin to see the connection and One Truth that is at the core of them...there are no contradictions, just different ways of saying the same beautiful things-
Jesus taught:
Forgiveness
Unconditional Love
Living in the Moment- or Being Present (a high concept that many still do not understand)
Karma- Do Unto Others

this is also the basis the Buddha's teachings
Kabbalistic teachings
Gnostic teachings
Hindu teachings
Modern Spiritual teachings
etc...

the thing that trips you up is the mistaken belief that Jesus needed or even wanted to be worshipped..when you understand humility and true enlightenment you would understand this- he wanted the same for you, to teach you how to be like him- to Live the Truth, the Life and the Way
not be lost in the words and thus worshipping a false God

Jesus is the Son of God- he is a God-realized being...
he was teaching that everyone has this hidden potential within

there is only one way to the 'Father' through Christ conciousness-

which means accepting Christ Consciousness in your heart- dropping the ego- becoming like children- innocent, humble

not an easy thing to do and usually requires many years of meditation, contemplation of the Divine, and not as easy as just literally saying "yes! he is the One"

many get stuck in the words- (false gods)
and do not see the Truth underneath..the finger pointing the way

many can't help it because they were taught this with fear and threat of hell- but the ironic thing is if hell is separation from God- this is exactly what is being perpetuated and what Jesus was trying to show us

reincarnation is the Truth, part of the life eternal- but the church doesn't want you to know this because the threat of eternal damnation in hell would lose it's effectiveness

(((Zentrinity))) You hit the nail on the head again, sweetie!

My personal "religion" is learning to embody love and compassion and finding peace and balance. This is what Jesus taught. This is what the Buddha taught. This is the basis of Wicca, and many other earth-based religions. I take what resonates me and leave the rest.

All paths contain some truth and wisdom. None contain the absolute truth. This is why in good conscience I cannot subscribe to ANY religion 100%. I seek the truth in my own heart, by asking questions and listening for the answers, not by following blindly.

Dear asker: Didn't Christ say "judge not, lest ye be judged"?
Why do you judge others for their beliefs? Peace.

Sorry, but it's your version of Christianity that was altered to take out things such as reincarnation. Check your historical facts. John the Baptist was an Essene Jew; Jesus was an Essene rabbi: Essenes believed in and taught reincarnation and karma. Traces of this are there to find in the bible even now if you have eyes to see. When Jesus spoke of secret knowledge that not everyone could comprehend, he was talking about reincarnation and karma. Jesus was also a strict vegetarian, as Essenes were vegetarian. Your bible has been changed, which makes you the hapless hypocrite.

Can't a person believe whatever they want? Why do I have to fit what i feel and think into a matrix that exists within your mind?

It doesn't matter.

If I want to believe that L Ron Hubbard is the messiah and that
the center of the earth is filled jello pudding, than that's perfectly fine. It only becomes a problem when you start to judge people for what they believe and not what they do.

Are we not all branches on the same tree? Imagination is ours to use, explore, try on new coats, see what fits. I try and be Christ like yet I am not a Christian, I try and practice things Buddha taught but I am not a Buddhist. Unreasoned fear is the enemy. Hate is the enemy, not other people.
Food for the Soul.............

edit: High Five Zen.....How do we stop defending our tightly held beliefs about Jesus and try and be like Jesus. That is what Zen is saying and well taken. Build hope, it's good for humanity.......

You need to study the actual words and acts of Jesus in a true way. His philosophy is so like Buddhism or Hinduism its startling- you are hateing with your message- those who think with hate can never understand Jesus - or anything of the "real" world.

I pray you find peace.

What's wrong with forming your own beliefs? Take the best of everything and make it your own seems to work well for a lot of people. Why can't people just mind their own business. Do you have to answer for them in the afterlife; if there is one? Are you losing sleep over this?

I don't care for Fried Chicken, but I love scrambled eggs. Does that make me a hypocrite?

I believe there are as many paths to G-d as there are sincere seekers. If someone else's beliefs bring them closer to G-d, The Divine, the Creator, whatever term you choose -- then that's what works for that person and who are you to decide they're wrong??

I agree with you completely. The problem is that many so called believers believe with their lips and not with the heart. Another thing is many are moving or not relying on God's Word, claiming they are being taught by the Holy Spirit.

It is because you cannot get many to see that there is no seperation of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. If you have one, you have the other. If you claim you only have one, and don't have the other, then you have neither.

Israel made that same mistake. They became complacent and hardened in heart. They began seeing the Word of God with physical eyes and not spiritual. This people that were once spiritual, because of the hardness of their hearts lost the spirituality of the law.

That is why they did not recognize the signs that pointed to the coming of their messiah.
