it use to work before now it changes one channel and stops working plz help

Off the top of my head, I would say your problem is any one or more of these:
1) Low batteries
2) The code to work the unit needs to be reset
3) The channel button isn't working or broken. For example, the channel up works but not the channel down.
FYI, with many universals and combo units (DVD and VCR), the remote may work one side but not the other. For example, on one of my combo units, I can manually punch in a channel on the VCR side. But with the DVD side, it doesn't work. I actually have to use the channel up and down buttons.

prolly the batteries......change em then .....if it dont work try going to the remotes site and redoing the codes for your equipment

find out the name of your remote and go to the website and it will help you, just last night we had to go to www.rca.com to reprogram ours.....hope this helps
did you check the batteries?
